Himley Hall

A

Traditional classic car show in every sense, set in the beautiful parklands and grounds of the 18th Century Himley Hall. However, the formula is proven and this sedate but active event is an enjoyable way to make the most of the end of summer.

With the promise of 800 vehicles, covering all decades of motoring, the event is popular and attracts cars from the West Midlands, with a mix of modified, retro and vintage classics. The impecibly maintained landscape set by lake is a fine way to spend a sunday.

There were several original low mileaged cars in attendance, the Polo has a fully documented history and the Ital has been with the same owner for 20 years.

Local heroes. The Jensen was assembled in nearby West Bromich, with the Jaguar from Coventry. The area spawned dozens of car brands and the loyality still remains.

A typically exceptional Ford turn out, both models are special edition examples.

Under represented at classic car shows, it was a treat to discover a Subaru pick up and a Suzuki SJ.

Italian Jobs.
