This event was actually established in 1910, with it’s last competive day held in 1925 due to safety legislation. However the venue was revived as a charity event in 2009, and this year celebrates it’s tenth anniversary. Kopp Hill could be described as a grass roots Goodwood, with full access to almost every section of the event open to the public.
Kopp Hill covers motoring throughout it’s racing history, including Motorbikes, Racing and Rally cars, Supercars, Vintage and Veteran racers as well as a soapbox challenge. Around 800 vehicles were present over the weekend.
Dressing up is optional, but it allowed this Keystone Cop to hitch a lift in this 1927 Ford.
Converted in 1964 by Richardson Engineering, this 427 Ford NASCAR powered E-type has a well documented race history.
Saturday was the better day for attendance, as the rainclouds gathered on the Sunday.
Vintage motorcycles line up for a run up the hill. As it is a non-competitive event, owners can choose their own pace.
Open to exhibitors and classic car clubs, the serene friendly nature of the event attracted thousands of people.
