Masters of sowing pearls out of oysters, Fiat with some styling from external stylists produced dozens of limited-run coupes which were often beneficial to all parties concerned. Vignale styled and built 98 cars starting in 1967, which were based on the Fiat 124 and 125 models. The well regarded 125S twin-cam engine offered the soundtrack and the speed to match the rakish styling, but these cars were twice as expensive as the 125 saloons and had to be specially ordered direct from the Vignale factory. Not surprisingly RHD examples are very scarce.
