A quick summary of the renamed Silverstone Festival, previously known as the Classic, the new name reflects a more family-orientated set-up but fear not. The core of last weekend’s showcase is still focused on the racetrack and paddocks, the hundreds of car clubs, auctions and watching classic cars go hell for leather.

It was a satisfying weekend, and as usual, good to have a catch up with a few people. I attended all three days, which was tough work, especially trying to cover the two Paddocks and everything in between. Cooler temperatures and only light showers made things so much easier though. The last shot in this reel was a case of being at the right place at the right time. Fortunately, the driver walked out of the car and seemed to be in good health after the medics assessed him. The car, well, not so much. A review for the Car and Classic website Magazine can be seen here.
