After a three-year break, the showcase rally and motorsports event held in the confines of Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire came back to us with a bang. The main draw for many was the live rally car action, with over 130 cars demonstrating their prowess in the hands of their dedicated drivers. Several big names were present, but the event appears to have been stolen by the news of a Cosworth RS500 selling at auction for just under £600,000!
While the two halls full of traders, specialists and clubs kept the 20,000 visitors occupied in the warm, I spent most of my time outside as the allure and attraction of watching the great and the good thrashing their way through the stages was far too good to miss. Thank you to Poppyseed Media for taking care of the logistics, as well as the Marshalls and organisers of Race Retro who ensure everything is carried out safely without sacrificing the enjoyment.
